Editorial overview
What it is
Alexandra Ledermann 5: Legacy of the Stud is a horse riding and management simulation game focused on caring for horses, competing in equestrian events, and restoring a neglected stud farm. Players train horses, improve their abilities, and participate in activities such as show jumping and cross-country competitions while exploring the surrounding countryside.
Progression combines stable management with riding challenges and story-driven objectives, emphasizing horse care, customization, and competition across a variety of environments.
The premise
In the game, the player takes on the role of Mademoiselle de Chardigny, the grandniece of Jeanne de Chardigny, whose existence she was unaware of. The action begins when Madame de Chardigny's notary, Monsieur Grellepois, contacts the heroine to inform her of an inheritance left by her great-aunt after her death. In order to take possession of the stud farm formerly run by her aunt and now in ruins, Mademoiselle de Chardigny must fulfill the terms of the inheritance, which are numerous and varied.
The heroine will take part in various competitions and equestrian trials in order to completely renovate the stud farm, but also to gain the trust of the inhabitants and breathe new life into the village of Saint-Amond, where the action takes place. However, this will not be easy, as some people seem to oppose the restoration of the stud farm and will try to prevent the renovations undertaken by the young heiress.
