Editorial overview
What it is
Welcome to the future of ethical warfare, Airman! You have been granted the privilege of commanding a next-generation remotely piloted fixed-wing aircraft. Your platform is equally suited for advanced Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) and precision strike roles.
Here’s your mission: Fly your fixed-wing drone over a colorful pixel world chock full of happy, smiling folks. You’re required to carefully surveil the locals to determine who’s the average citizen just going about their day and who’s the bad guy. Once you identify legitimate targets, use laser-guided missiles or high-explosive rounds to take them out! Cozy Drone is a cozy game through and through. You can’t crash. You can’t run out of ammo or fuel. You don’t get penalized for hitting the wrong targets. You simply can’t lose! It’s just like all those cute cozy farming sims, except instead of harvesting crops, you’re harvesting souls with a precision instrument of aerial death.
Key features: Story: Nonexistent Time To Complete: 20 minutes (less if you’re a real pilot) Game Modes: 1 (fly around and blow stuff up) Character Progression: None. Drones don’t have character to progress. Graphics: Retro pixel mush Sound Effects: Performed by untrained voice actors Meta: Wrong game!
This game is perfect for wasting a few free minutes while laughing at the pure jankiness of it all. It’s an ode to the simpler era of pointless indie flash games. Sometimes you just want some mindless, silly fun. When did we all get so dang serious anyway??
