What it is
Devil Drive Polaris is a single-stage vertical shoot 'em up featuring a player-controlled dynamic difficulty (rank) system that encourages ratcheting up the difficulty to chase higher scores. This game was developed in about a week for the fifth TWG game jam.
The premise
The Machine God ZENITH TERMINA has at last succumbed to entropy. POLARIS, the Devil of the North Star, takes flight for the final time, toward the advancing remnants of the MACHINE ARMY. Beyond the mechanical swarm, at the furthest edge of the Antipode Realm, a familiar light can be seen, piercing the void...
