Editorial overview
What it is
Just after making your escape, you must pass through the CITY of LUXOR, then head out into the DESERT of MUT and, from there, reach the village of FARSUT, where you will board the TRAIN that will take you to the JARGA complex, a secret underground facility that will provide the definitive proof of the conspiracy. From there, all that remains is for you to reach the border post, and your mission will be complete.
The premise
Christine and Michael were enjoying a holiday in the beautiful town of Luxor, on the banks of the Nile in the Aswan region. They had chosen Egypt as the destination for their journey in search of adventure, exciting new experiences, and dreams that seemed impossible within the routine and emptiness of their everyday Western lives. Egypt, however, was not about to disappoint them.
Yet it would not be the mysteries of its ancient culture, nor its vast and hauntingly lonely deserts, that would challenge them as they had expected. Instead, they would find themselves facing very real dangers, dangers that would place even their own lives at serious risk.
It all began when they accidentally witnessed the kidnapping of a young Arab man, who appeared somewhat dazed, by a heavily armed paramilitary group. Almost without intending to, they were drawn into the affair and attempted to free him from his mysterious captors. Outnumbered, however, they were quickly overpowered by the strange and threatening soldiers. Together with the apparently harmless young man, they were imprisoned in a luxurious palace in Luxor.
Everything was bewildering for our friends: the abduction in broad daylight, the magnificent palace converted into a fortress, and the distinctly military atmosphere so out of place in what should have been a peaceful region.
