Editorial overview
What it is
Kawã na Terra dos Indígenas Maraguá is an educational platformer developed by the Federal University of São Carlos, under its LEETRA laboratory. It tells the story of a young indigenous boy who goes through the Wakaripé ritual. According to the tradition that marks the transition from childhood to adulthood, when boys turn ten, they must pass some tests to demonstrate their bravery. Then, at the age of 15, they face the even more challenging Gualipãg ritual, which entitles them to become "chief hunter-warrior".
