Koharu is the grand daughter of Chitose, head priestess of Oguni Shrine. Learning about the tragedy that face the war miko who continue to wage war against the Yamiudo on top of the loss of her parents at a young age, Koharu longs for a carefree life. Oboro, a war miko assigned to this shrine often finds herself chastising Koharu in order to steer her away from the wrong path.

Despite misunderstandings, Oboro and Koharu grow closer but can Koharu continue to ignore the call to become war miko in the face of attacks by stronger Yamiudo? And what of the mysterious “woman encased in ice” and her connection to the Oguni Shrine?
