What it is
Monkaru is an orthodox, retro-inspired turn-based fantasy RPG where you travel to defeat The Demon Lord with the help of a girl who was sealed in a crystal. The game is by Experience with character designs by Yuji Himukai and monster designs by Akifumi Yamamoto.
The premise
The Demon Lord—a wicked being who appeared in a world of sword and sorcery.
It is said the Demon Lord commanded legions of monsters, and there were even towns that fell to his might. Many heroes rose to challenge him, but not one returned alive.
And so time passed… The people of the world waited for another who would rise to face the Demon Lord again. And then, in a town where adventurers gathered, one finally appeared.
A new hero, destined to set off on a fateful journey.
