Editorial overview
What it is
Mother Zina is a first-person psychological thriller about a foreign journalist who comes to Russia for a report. He rents an apartment from Zinaida Petrovna in a regular Soviet-era block - and quickly learns that the only “normal” thing here is the sign outside.
The premise
You’re a journalist who came to Russia for a report. After renting an apartment from Zinaida Petrovna, you quickly realize she’s hiding something - and this place isn’t meant for random tenants. To get out, you’ll have to dig into her past - and keep your sanity.
You’ve ended up in a house no one talks about out loud. People disappear, stories don’t match, and answers seem to vanish on their own. Your recordings, photos, and notes become the only thread leading to Zinaida Petrovna’s secret - and what she does to her tenants.
But the closer you get to the truth, the more questions appear - not about her, but about you. Who are you really, why are you here, and why did you become part of this story so quickly?
