Editorial overview
What it is
Orbit One is a game about planning. Plan your rocket designs, plan your launches, and plan your orbital maneuvers. With careful planning, even the most difficult, far-flung space exploration becomes achievable. Start from humble beginnings and build your skills by designing simple rockets to maneuver around Earth. Demonstrate your competency with orbital maneuvering to unlock more powerful rockets with sophisticated scientific instruments. Follow your ambition to explore every part of the solar system!
Master orbital mechanics, face unstable orbits, and take advantage of Lagrange points. Orbit One's N-body physics provides a more accurate simulation than standard 2-body approximations. Orbit One's planning tools make it easy to plan and coordinate maneuvers across multiple spacecraft.
Reaching orbit has never been simpler! Use the vehicle designer to create the perfect design to fulfill your mission. Select from engines and specialized modules, adjust tank sizes and staging, and tweak the performance to meet mission requirements.
Tired of flying manually? In Orbit One, the details are taken care of: launches, landings, and maneuvers are all automated. It's up to you to manage the orders for multiple spacecraft and plot an efficient, timely course.
Travel to the Moon, Mars, and beyond! Explore the moons of Jupiter, Saturn, and Uranus, or visit Neptune's icy satellite Triton.
Play through the missions to unlock larger, more powerful, and more sophisticated rocket parts. Each mission will take you further, exploring the planets and moons of the solar system. Take on real-life scenarios to test your skill. Or skip the wait and jump straight into sandbox mode and explore at your own pace.
