Editorial overview
What it is
Seaworks: Trap Season is a hands-on crab fishing life sim set in the remote pacific northwest in the 1990s. Take fishing bounties by fax, maintain and customize your boat, brave changing weather, sort your catch and build a small life on the edge of the sea.
The premise
The fax machine spits out another bounty. The weather is turning. Your boat needs work. And somewhere out there, beneath the cold northern water, your traps are waiting.
Seaworks: Trap Season is a hands-on crab fishing life sim set on the remote pacific northwest in the 1990s. Start small, earn your fishing license, take jobs, work the waters and build a life around your boat, your cabin and the sea.
Head out when the conditions are right, place your crab traps and return later to haul in your catch and sort it. Back on land, sell them fresh or process them for better profit. Every trip earns you money, experience and the next step toward a better setup.
But the sea does not wait for you. Weather changes the water. Waves affect your trips. Your stamina is limited, and your boat needs care. Barnacles slow you down and burn more fuel. Repairs, maintenance and smart timing matter just as much as a full trap.
Between jobs, improve your home, customize your boat, repair useful island structures and prepare for the next season. With a randomized world, shifting conditions and different bounties, every run brings a new route through island life.
This is not a story about getting rich overnight. It is about work, weather, routine and the small satisfaction of doing things right.
