What it is
SpongeBob SquarePants: Lights!, Camera!, Pants!, the city of Bikini Bottom is producing a show called "The Adventures of Mermaid Man & Barnacle Boy" in which the titular SpongeBob wishes to play as the starring role. SpongeBob must compete with the other characters in the series – including Patrick Star, Sandy Cheeks, Squidward Tentacles, Mr. Krabs and Sheldon J. Plankton – in order to impress the talent scouts and land the lead role of the villain.
The premise
The producer of the superhero show The Adventures of Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy (Gill Hammerstein) is filming a special episode in Bikini Bottom and using the locals as actors. All of your favorites are desperate to impress the talent scouts who have created a series of action-packed challenges to test the wannabe stars. Join SpongeBob and his friends as you compete against your friends for 9 different roles, including the coveted super villain role, the Sneaky Hermit.
