Inside Super Mario: Blue Twilight
What it is
Super Mario: Blue Twilight is the lesser known first version of Super Mario: Blue Twilight DX. Released a year prior, this version is less polished, but carries most of the same ideas of its successor, also being a Halloween-themed Super Mario 2D platformer.
The game was lost up until 2025, when the creator, BlazeHedgehog, kindly uploaded it on the Internet Archive for preservation.
The premise
Having celebrated a recent defeat over the mighty Dark Wizard, King Bowser of the Koopa, Peach and Mario begin the period of "downtime". However, not so much as having time to even breathe a sigh of relief, Princess Peach is snatched once again -- but the creature who took her certainly didn't -look- like one of Bowser's minions, did it? No matter, off to rescue the Princess, again!
