What it is

The Horror of H.H.Holmes is a survival game where you enter his "Castle" to search for evidence, while evading Holmes. The game strives for accuracy. There are two parts to The Horror of H.H. Holmes, one is the game, and the other is simply a virtual walk through of the Castle, where you can take your time and just wander about. Both ways can be viewed in Virtual Reality, or standard viewing.

The premise

Holmes was one of America’s first serial killers in the late 1800’s, and built a hotel dubbed the “Castle”, which was a labyrinth of secret passages, dead ends, stairs leading nowhere, and inescapable rooms, where he killed several people for various reasons. Using blueprints and diagrams, along with witness testimony, these give a good estimation of what it was like to explore the structure. The game will allow users to do that by itself, or play a deadly game of hide and seek, where the player has to collect evidence against Holmes, while Holmes is attempting to find the player and put an end to his latest “problem”.
