What it is
The plot centers on a run‑of‑the‑mill Stalker nicknamed Topor. He’s made several forays into the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone, yet—even though the Zone’s heart beckons—his fear of the unknown always holds him at the Cordon’s edge. But life beyond the perimeter has long since lost its meaning, so at last he resolves to venture beyond the Cordon…
The premise
True Stalker follows the story of an ordinary stalker known as “Topor.” He makes small forays but hasn’t yet dared to leave the newbie zone, the Cordon. His goal is to gain enough experience and gear to venture to the Chernobyl NPP, track down rare artifacts or even reach the Wish Granter.
The game’s progression roughly mirrors Shadow of Chernobyl: after the Cordon, Topor heads to the Garbage, then drops by the Bar, and finally explores various underground sites, including Lab X-18.
Along the way, he’ll search for missing stalkers, aid scientists and ultimately pursue his dream of meeting the Wish Granter at the NPP.
